| Peter Floyd is Treasurer and a Board Member of SEES and an attorney practicing with Alston & Bird, LLP. He works extensively with the General Counsels for the Municipal Electric Authority of Georgia and the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia, respectively, and has worked on projects for major regional, national, and international utilities. Mr. Floyd primarily practices in the areas of utilities regulation, utilities related transactions, corporate governance, and public finance. |
| Bill Bulpitt is joined the Strategic Energy Initiative at Georgia Tech in 2004. Prior to 2004, Bill worked with RMT, Inc., where his work centered on power plant due diligence performed for prospective buyers interested in the restructuring of the independent power industry and in solving environmental problems for industrial plants in general. Before joining RMT, Bill had 27 years of work experience in dealing with complex engineering systems both in the research field and in practical applications for the energy and power industries. He served as Director of Environmental Affairs for a major independent power producer for over 6 years, dealing with projects and environmental issues both domestically and in many countries overseas. |
| Norris Garmon is an SEES board member and is the Project Delivery Leader for Honeywell International’s National Energy Services program. Norris is a Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) and has an MBA. He is an engineering and management professional with a long background in energy services, construction and project management, and power generation. He is also experienced in personnel management, contract administration, labor management, negotiation, facility and equipment operation and maintenance, and customer service. His past employers include General Electric Company, Georgia Tech Research Institute, Oglethorpe Power Corporation, Enron Energy Services, and Southern Company Energy Solutions. |
| Gary Garrett works as a Senior Technical Analyst for the Southern States Energy Board in Norcross and is involved in energy and environmental policy issues, particularly in the Southeast states. Prior to beginning at the SSEB in 2002, he held positions related to generation and resource planning at Oglethorpe Power for two years, after 27 years with the Tennessee Valley Authority. He is currently active with several organizations including the city of Decatur Waste Management Advisory Board, DeKalb County Recycling Task Force, Energy Efficiency Task Force at his church, Trees Atlanta, the Oakhurst Community Garden, and United Way of Atlanta. Education includes a recent Master’s degree in Urban Policy Studies from Georgia State University, in addition to Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. |
| Jane Hill is a member of the SEES board of directors. With degrees in engineering and business administration, she is a consulting engineer in private practice. Her specialties are the technical and economic analysis of distributed generation. She is a Professional Engineer in Georgia and South Carolina, a Certified Energy Manager, and a Certified Cogeneration Professional. In addition to her work with SEES, she serves on the board of the South Carolina chapter of the U. S. Green Building Council and is co-chairman of USGBC-SC's Education Committee. |
| Wayne Robertson is a Board Member of SEES. He is a professional engineer, a Certified Energy Manager and a registered LEED analyst. Wayne is interested in energy engineering and energy conservation in buildings and environmental issues. He is a principal of Energy Ace, Inc., an energy consulting firm in Atlanta. |
| Doug Moore is the Energy Services Program Manager for MEAG Power, providing technical assistance to 49 municipal power systems in Georgia. Doug is a registered professional engineer in Georgia, and has provided assistance in energy efficiency and conservation to business and industry in Georgia for over 20 years, through his current position and as a former research engineer for the Georgia Tech Economic Development Institute. |
| Gil Waldman is Project Director for Mirant Corporation. His primary responsibility is the development of merchant power plants. Gil has previously been Vice President of Power Projects for Southern Energy, Inc., and was also with US Generating Co. and with Trigen Energy Corporation developing industrial cogeneration projects. Earlier in his 30-year career he was a boiler service engineer for Combustion Engineering Inc and a National Sales Manager for Pyropower Corporation’s line of circulating fluidized bed boilers. |
